Maedoc of Ferns (also known as Mogue or Aidan) was a 6th century Bishop of Ferns in Ireland..

He was born in Ireland around 550, probably in County Cavan. He studied under Saint David at St David’s in Wales, and on his return founded a monastery at Ferns, County Wexford. He became bishop there and was renowned for his generosity and kindness. He died in 626 and his Lives testify to his popularity both in Cavan and in Ferns. His feast day is on the 30th of January.
