An award-winning show about the life of Welsh actor and Hollywood star Richard Burton is coming to Pembrokeshire this week.
The one-man show featuring Rhodri Miles is being staged at Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard on Friday October 29th.
The actor’s portrayal has already won him the Best International Artist award at the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Written by Gwynne Edwards and directed by Hugh Thomas, Burton portrays the legendary actor in his own words from his humble beginnings in south Wales to Hollywood stardom.
At the height of his success he came to Fishguard with Elizabeth Taylor to film Under Milk Wood at Lower Town.
Rhodri Miles, who was born just six miles away from Burton’s birthplace, trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has been a professional actor for 15 years. He’s appeared in Holby City and Torchwood on TV as well as the movie Eastern Promises.
Burton starts at 8pm with tickets costing £8 (£6 concessions). They can be obtained from Theatr Gwaun or phone 01348 873421.
