Three children from the Holywell area have won prizes in a draw held to mark the official opening of Flintshire Connects in the town.
Children in Holywell and its surrounding areas were invited to take part in a free prize draw by colouring in a Christmas stocking picture and bringing it along to the official launch held on Friday 30 November. The launch also coincided with the official Christmas lights switch-on organised by Holywell Town Council.
The winning entries were by Bethany Walker, Jessica Roberts and Oliver Williams. Bethany won family tickets for Deeside Ice Rink, Jessica received family tickets for Ten Pin Bowling at the Jade Jones Pavilion Flint, and Oliver was presented with a Young Flintshire hooded sweatshirt.
The prizes were awarded by Councillor Billy Mullin, Cabinet Member for Corporate Management and Chris Guest, Flintshire County Council’s Head of ICT and Customer Services.
Councillor Mullin said:
“We’d like to thank all those children who took the time and effort to submit their colourful Christmas Stockings for our prize draw. We had lots of entries, and the standard was very high. I hope our three lucky winners enjoy their prizes!
