Assembly Member William Graham qs First Minister on Shisha Bars

May 2nd, 2012 | By | Category: Health, Politics

Questioning the First Minister yesterday on the alarming increase in smoking Shisha  in Wales, Opposition Chief Whip Shadow Leader of the House William Graham said; “Recent British Heart Foundation research indicates that during a typical hour long session a smoker inhales the smoke equivalent to smoking 100 cigarettes.”

When asked to indicate what discussions have been held to regulate such substance the First Minister stated that he had not held any discussions but recovered by loosely stating that he would discuss this with the Chief Medical Officer.

William Graham was surprised by the First Minister’s answer that he was only aware of the existence of Shisha bars from his time spent on Edgeware Road in London and remained blissfully unaware of the existence of Shisha Bars in Wales, and the increase in Cardiff in particular.
