Ramsay: Llanwern job losses blow to economy

Commenting on the announcement from Tata Steel of 70 job losses at their production plant in Llanwern, Shadow Minister for the Economy, Nick Ramsay AM, said:
“This is a massive blow to the Newport economy and will be devastating news for the employees and their families.
“The workers affected need support at this difficult time to help them find alternative employment or seek training opportunities.
“This is further worrying news about the fragile state of Wales’ manufacturing industry which has lost over 70,000 jobs in the past ten years.”
