SwanseaOne of Swansea’s history hubs is giving people the chance to experience Christmas as it would’ve been celebrated in bygone eras.

Swansea Museum is holding the special seasonal event in the build-up to the festive period on Saturday December 12.

Children will have the opportunity to meet Victorian character Miss Phoebe for a lively, interactive session where they can find out about toys and traditions in festive seasons from yesteryear.

Cllr Graham Thomas, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, said: “Christmas is still a magical time of the year but traditions and gifts have changed a great deal over the years.

“This wonderful event at Swansea Museum will offer visitors an insight into Christmas past in a fun and educational way.

“It’s a terrific way to boost festive spirits.”

The sessions are free to enjoy and take place at 11am, 2pm and 4pm.
